Kobo launches aura one water-proof eBook reader. Aura one packs a 7.8 inch display with pixel density of 300 ppi. Aura one is the biggest eReader on the market, but it’s still slim and light. Since screen is larger, it allows bigger words that are more comfortable to read. Aura one has 1,872×1,404 pixel resolution.
Aura one is distinct from other eReaders by its size, as most of the eReaders has 6 inch display allowing wider text spacing. In this eReader, kobo also tried to cut down the blue light it put out because too much blue light from screens can throw our circadian rhythms off making it less likely to disturb user sleep patterns. Aura one also has ambient light sensor to modify the brightness depending on time.
The aura one satisfies the ipx8 water resistant standard so that it can be submerged in up to 2 meter of water for 60 minutes. Aura ones software allows you to choose the exact color temperature from a scale of blue to red. The eReader from kobo is built with 1GHz processor and 512MB of RAM. It will be available for purchase in us and Canada for $229(approximately Rs15, 300) and $249(approximately Rs16, 000) from September 6.
